Come join the Facilities Maintenance and Operations team @ The Jackson Laboratory as a Building Systems Automation Technician I in our Ellsworth, Maine facility!

• Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building automation and fire detection/protection systems.
• Working up to personal ability level in other Maintenance trades as needed.
• Participate in an on call rotation that may require work outside of normal business hours.
• Maintains a zero personal injury record and clean workplace.

• Minimum two year degree in Electrical Technology or related field OR HS equivalency and 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of current automation systems such as Honeywell, Johnson Controls or other similar manufacturers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to work as team player with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated proficiency using current Windows based computer programs such as Word and Excel.
