We are looking for a creative problem-solver with logistics, mathematical, engineering, analytical, or similar experience and aptitude.  Our team of Global Logistics Planners lead and participate in projects and administrative activities that drive continued enhancements to our live animal transport networks throughout the world.  Every day represents a new and interesting challenge in this role.  Innovation and creativity are needed to identify projects, but success is defined by implementations.  You must be a “doer”, who can work in a team environment to drive consensus, take action, and provide measurable improvements.  Empathy for animals, researchers, and co-workers are also critical success factors.

Please note: Although the majority of work is performed between 7am-7pm M-F, this position rotates 24/7 on-call coverage for emergencies, and requires periodic travel (post-covid).

  • Identify and implement specialized delivery solutions. This includes defining needs, researching options, outreach, organizing pilot projects, analyzing results, internal and external communications, managing expectations, updating systems and processes, and launch.
  • Conduct ad hoc projects such as research into importation regulations, template-building, SOP’s, training, and presentations.
  • Strategic communications, internal and external, including metric (KPI) development and communications.
  • Off-site audits and rotated 24/7 on-call coverage for nights/weekends.

  • Professional-level MS Excel data modeling, structuring, and analysis techniques to drive logistical decisions.
  • Strong software skills: Demonstrated ability to learn, use, and drive changes to a variety of computer software applications.
  • Calm, effective, precise, and professional communication style (both verbal and written).
  • Strong, demonstrated analytical and logistical skillset.
  • Self-starter: High energy, stamina, and dedication to keep up in this face-paced and unpredictable role.
  • BA/BS degree in related field and 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, transportation, logistics, or related analytical pursuits.

Please submit a cover letter clearly documenting your fit for this role, along with a resume!
