Summary

The Jackson Laboratory has a unique opportunity for a COVID-19 Testing Coordinator for our Bar Harbor, ME location.  This is a temporary position expected for at least one full year duration.  The COVID-19 Testing Coordinator oversees and coordinates all aspects of JAX's approach to COVID-19 testing for employees, students, and contractors.  This position is responsible for supporting a multi-modal approach to support a safe work environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Responsibilities

  • In coordination with the CHRO and JAX’s Medical Director, executes strategy for an ongoing testing program to include both population level testing as well as strategic testing of higher risk populations
  • Maintains close working relationship with third-party testing resources (e.g., hospital partners, medical providers)
  • Organizes on-site and off-site resources and events for collecting test samples
  • Ensures proper supplies are stocked at each testing site (e.g., swabs, tubes, etc.)
  • Monitors performance of packaging of samples and delivery of samples to CLIA lab
  • In coordination with the CHRO, JAX’s Medical Director, and Occupational Health Services (OHS), assists with maintaining and refining protocols for general, asymptomatic testing processes
  • Monitors employee testing activity, identifying non-compliant employees and initiating necessary response/action
  • Maintains database to document, track, and report on testing and contact tracing activities
  • Prepares regular reports and conducts data analysis
  • Works on a daily basis in coordination with OHS and HR staff members

 

Qualifications

  • College degree with one year of public health or similar experience; or, high school diploma with three years of public health or similar experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Must be highly attuned to the confidential nature of the services provided and have the ability to maintain confidential information
  • Must be able to execute multiple assignments concurrently
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data and present information in a concise manner
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
