POSITIONS: Application Architect (Multiple Positions)

The Application Architect understands, advocates and augments the principles of information technology strategies; analyzes business drivers to determine corresponding change requirements; analyzes the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement; analyzes technology industry and market trends and determines their impact on the enterprise; defines the principles to guide solution decisions for the enterprise; designs and leads the implementation of an Enterprise Solution Architecture (ESA) based on enterprise business requirements and IT strategies; designs and directs the governance activities associated with ensuring ESA compliance; develops a road map of the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from current to future state; coordinates solution architecture implementation and modification activities; facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product standards, as well as the design of standard software configurations; consults with application and infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the solution architecture to accommodate project needs; documents all solution architecture design and analysis work; “sells” the architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results; identifies the organizational impact (on skills, processes, structures, culture) and financial impact of the ESA; works closely with the program management office to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered; and mentors developers in application teams of focus in software development practices, review of code for quality and best practice adherence, appropriate use of design patterns, strong unit test automation practices, and technology leadership.
The minimum requirements for the position are a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative analytics field and 6 years of progressive professional experience in utilizing selenium automation and object oriented programming such as JAVA web technologies, implementing the web service test automation framework solution for the services used by artificial intelligence using SOAP and REST web services technologies, developing quality assurance process and automation framework solutions using JAVA to ensure applications are stable, performing web service automation using Selenium, and utilizing web service automation using MySQL.
RATE OF PAY: Between $113,500 and $130,000/year.
