  • Summary

    Responsible for developing and executing a Development Operations (DevOps) strategy to ensure quality software deployments and overall application health and performance. Optimizes relationships between the development and IT operations teams. Promotes communication, integration, and collaboration for enhanced software development productivity. Develops infrastructure to incorporate latest technology best practices and improve operational performance. Requires broad technical knowledge and experience across a variety of IT areas, including infrastructure, development and operations.

    An Experienced Professional that applies practical knowledge of the DevOps discipline typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Works independently with general supervision, problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate processes including; deployments, unit/regression testing and application health monitoring/metrics
    • Partner with System Administrators and Architects to build, manage and troubleshoot application configurations
    • Collaborate with agile team members and raise issues/concerns throughout the software development life cycle.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve L2 production application issues
    • Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation within software applications

    Qualifications

    • Requires 3 – 5 years of experience
    • Experience with Software Development and Application Configuration in an Agile environment.
    • Experience with ITIL service management framework, including Release and Change Management
    • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment toolsets.
    • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality work with limited direct supervision
