    Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent Management, the Senior Manager, Human Resources functions as a strategic business partner and is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leaders in assigned business units. The position serves as a consultant to leadership on human resource-related issues and administers JAX policies relating to all Human Resource functions.


    A critical part of the HR leadership team (HRL) the role will contribute to the development of the vision, mission and strategy of the Human Resources organization ensuring alignment of HR resources, programs, and services with JAX mission, goals, and objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws (e.g., EEO, Affirmative Action, ERISA, ADAAA, wage and hour, etc.).


    In partnership with the Senior Director participates in responding to all complaints and legal actions resulting from Human Rights and Employment Law enforcement.


    Supervises professional staff within Human Resources.


    • Consults with management of assigned client groups on workforce planning process including organizational development, recruitment and selection, training and development, and succession planning.

    • Responsible for regularly evaluating their organizations’ culture and collaborates with leadership of assigned client groups and HR Senior Director to assure culture is aligned with vision, values, and goals and objectives of the organization(s).

    • Responsible for setting and achieving equal opportunity and diversity goals for their organizations.
    • Administers compensation programs for their assigned client groups, ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and recognition of individual performance that is consistent with employment laws and regulations.

    • Develops effective working relationships and feedback loops with HR Centers of Expertise (e.g.,Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, etc.) to ensure HR programs are working well for their respective client groups.

    • Ensure the implementation and administration of consistent disciplinary policies and processe.
    • Collaborates with the Senior Director in the development and effective administration of HR budgets.
    • Collaborates with leaders of assigned client groups to develop long range plans and ensures work force planning and organizational development is included in such plans.

    • Member of HR leadership planning and policy making group including updating policies as needed.

    • Supports the development of leadership at all levels throughout assigned client groups.
    • Supports a culture of health & wellbeing by ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations and best practices.

    • Supports safety training as required by statute and as is needed to protect employees and the environment.

    • Supports the operation of the Employee Health Center offering both occupational and non

      occupational health services to employees, including the conditioning and work hardening programs necessary to prevent injuries.

    • Screens, engages, contracts with and evaluates vendors for all services for which they have principle responsibilities.


    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • Professional HR certification strongly preferred.
    • A least 5 years success in management level Human Resources positions.
    • Membership in, and leadership in, Human Resources or other Business or Professional groups.
    • Significant achievements in implementing best practices HR systems and programs in current and prior positions.

    • Evidence of innovation and initiative in current and prior positions.
    • Ability to understand, implement and utilize best practices human resources information systems and technologies.

    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Ability to be effective as member of a collaborative management team.
