    O365 SharePoint Solution Architect

    Are you a highly motivated IT Architect or Engineer with SharePoint and/or Office 365 experience? Are you interested in getting exposure to many diverse technology platforms and working with users to design solutions? If so, The Jackson Laboratory has a great opportunity for you in beautiful Down East Maine. This position would be responsible for helping to shape the future of the digital workspace while helping to manage the day-to-day operations of SharePoint and related Office 365 capabilities for the Laboratory. This role is a customer-facing position with opportunities to interact with all areas of IT and across all areas of The Jackson Laboratory.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate solution architecture activities including selection of software, defining of standards, consulting on software and infrastructure projects
    • Develop and maintain technical solution roadmap for SharePoint and Office 365 while contributing to digital workspace roadmap
    • Evangelize Office 365 SharePoint and related capabilities
    • Work with users to design functional solutions that leverage SharePoint and Office 365 capabilities
    • Perform typical administration activities on SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 SharePoint including monitoring usage

    Qualifications

     

    General

     

    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • 6+ years in an Information Technology role with increasing responsibility
    • Ability to work in a team environment to analyze, recommend, design and deliver solutions that solve problems presented by the user community.
    • Ability to prioritize and deliver solutions in a timely manner, usually under pressure and shifting priorities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable presenting technical concepts to peers.

     

    Technical

     

    • Expert knowledge of SharePoint as a solution platform including solution design and administration
    • Experience with Office 365 SharePoint specifically and exposure to related Office 365 capabilities like OneDrive, Flow, and Teams
    • Experience contributing to or developing a technology roadmap
    • Experience working within ITIL and/or Scrum Agile frameworks
